- TSgt Officer was assigned to the 720th Special Operations Group Hurlburt Field, Florida.
- He was killed in training on 3 Aug 15 at Eglin AFB, Florida.
- The incident took place during a freefall parachute training exercise when Timmy and TSgt Marty Bettyloun (CCT) collided in mid-air.
- The result of this unfortunate tragic collision resulted in both Special Tactics Airmen’s deaths.
- Officer’s brother Justin was KIA in Afghanistan on 9 Sep 2010 while assigned to 2nd Brigade 101st Airborne Division.
- Timothy was survived by Tim A. Officer Sr. (father), Stacy J. Officer (mother) and Kylea Officer (sister).
