- Andre was killed when his HF antenna made contact with an exposed 50,000 volt high tension wire during an Army Exercise near Camp Casey Korea.
- A placard was placed on the power pole warning others and is still there today.
- Since that time, the area has been made un-accessible to vehicle traffic due to the extreme danger.
- Andre was survived by his wife and three children.
